This position will be reporting to the site Chief Clinical Officer and has responsibility for the provision of nursing services for a 326 bed multi-specialty healthcare facility. Service lines include, short term rehabilitation/sub-acute, Huntington's Chorea and long term geriatric care, including dementia care.

The successful candidate will direct a staff of approximately 250 nursing personnel and interface regularly with physicians, department directors, clinical staff and system leaders. The candidate will be intimately involved in the strategic planning for the redevelopment of Ferncliff Nursing Home. In addition, the candidate will lead and direct all related activities within the context of our policies and procedures to ensure the following: continuous compliance with accreditation and regulatory guidelines; meeting business expectations; maximum productivity within the nursing department by streamlining and centralizing functions; participation in health system leadership initiatives; and open communication and collaboration with leaders, physicians and other key stakeholders to design and execute patient care programs that support the Mission, Vision and Values of ArchCare at Ferncliff Nusing Home.


Position Requirements:
Hold current license as registered nurse in NY, Bachelor Degree in Nursing, Masters or ANP strongly preferred.

Successful experience leading clinical teams and diverse service lines. Knowledge of healthcare regulatory guidelines and laws (NYSDOH). Experience with health care inspections and compliance programs. Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse work force.

Five to seven years of progressively responsible management experience. Value Added

Previous experience in large acute care hospital or SNF, use of EHR, management of unionized work force, Six Sigma/LEAN process.
