We are seeking an experienced Chief Investment Officer to lead our Perkins Coie Trust Company Investment team with a well-established, positive and proactive leadership approach. This position oversees the management of investment portfolios and the development of short- and long-term investment plans for this company. This person will report to our CEO and board of managers.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall direction on strategic asset allocation for affluent client assets; work closely with the Client team to design investment policy and design asset allocation modeling tools to automate portfolio management function.

  • Build analytical framework for asset allocation and manager selection including intensive quantitative and qualitative fund research processes.

  • Maintain effective and efficient investment processes.

  • Chair the Investment Committee responsible for multi-asset investment decisions implemented in client portfolios; recommend new strategies and changes to existing investment policies based on allocations in tax-aware framework.

  • Explore innovative and new approaches to the investment process.

  • Review all investment portfolio performance and present reports to management.

  • Oversee the selection and training of all new employees in investment-related activities and evaluate performance.

  • Lead internal and external communications.

Specific Skills Required:

  • Experience in successfully leading an investment team.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills such as organizing, problem solving, planning, decision-making and active listening.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong presentation skills with clients and firm leaders.

  • In-depth knowledge of return generation strategies, asset classes and various investment products.

  • Expert in managing the full spectrum of equity investments, fixed income and alternative strategies for the company.

  • Solid work ethic with a strong degree of integrity.

Experience & Education:

  • Requires a BA in Business, Finance, Accounting or equivalent, as well as 10+ years of experience in portfolio management, preferably for trust accounts.
  • CFA required; MBA & CAIA preferred.

VIEW JOBS 1/4/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-04T00:00 Position Overview The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is a core member of Adaptive's executive team and is responsible for providing medical insight to advance immune-based biomarkers into existing and new products for the company. The CMO also oversees the medical expertise for Adaptive with collaborators and research partners. Further, the CMO serves as a key spokesperson for Adaptive with a wide range of audiences, both internally and externally, such as regulatory bodies, professional societies, healthcare, academic, and pharmaceutical organizations. This position will be responsible for providing medical expertise on cross-functional teams, providing clinical support for the commercial organization, and building scientific relationships with internal and external experts as well as advocacy with professional societies, KOLs, and guidelines groups. This position will play a key role in new product planning and evaluating new pipeline opportunities with the New Products, R&D, and Commercial teams. The CMO will lead Adaptive's Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Development and Translational Medicine functions. Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions * Translate the corporate strategy of the company into an integrated clinical strategy for novel diagnostic assays/products leading to the regulatory submission and approval of product candidates. * Establish relationships with thought leaders, consultants and key clinicians across the varied segments of interest to ensure Adaptive has a clear understanding of clinicians needs and requirements as well as medical practice patterns. * Engage with a variety of internal and external partners and stakeholders, including Adaptive's scientific advisory board and other thought leaders to innovate and refine clinical product development strategies, prioritizing product opportunities and developing plans to generate evidence for clinical validation and clinical utility. * Provide medical expertise and serve as a clinical resource to cross-functional teams. As a content expert, review medical and commercial documents and publications for promotional or scientific use, ensuring company compliance with regulations. * Function as a clinical expert in the evaluation of early stage biomarkers and externally developed assays to help assess their clinical utility. * Partner with R&D and commercial teams to achieve optimal product design specs for diagnostic assays in development and to achieve optimal commercialization of marketed products. * Participate in life cycle management teams to speed the deployment of new products. * Interact with regulatory team, providing medical/scientific input into regulatory submissions; assist in developing and reviewing all submissions to regulatory authorities, and represent company at key meetings * Collaborate in the design and conduct of clinical studies for product validation including oversight on preparation and review of relevant written documents (e.g. clinical study protocols, case report form, clinical study reports, etc.) and identification and recruitment of principal investigators for studies. * Provide oversight to clinical data collection and quality assessment, as well as the development of analysis plans. * Direct post-marketing studies for products. * Oversee translational efforts with large pharmaceutical translational partnerships and collaborations. Identify and provide guidance on opportunities to jointly promote data in collaboration with pharmaceutical companies, research, and other strategic partners. * Serve as a company spokesperson regarding all clinical/medical matters. Lead company resources in addressing laboratory, clinical, and patient product-related inquiries. * Work in conjunction with Adaptive's market access team to gain favorable coverage policies from third-party payors through meetings, presentations, and relationships with payor medical directors. Experience and Skills: * MD with a minimum of 10 years of industry experience * Experience in oncology, immunology, autoimmune disorders, infectious diseases, and translational research * Background in clinical research including: randomized clinical trials, observational studies, and diagnostic assay validation studies. * Demonstrated experience in the application various scientific technologies into translational research strategies * Strong work ethic with expectation of excellence from self and others. Must have high personal credibility, high intelligence, and outstanding written communication skills on scientific topics * Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, good judgment and ability to communicate with a diverse range of individuals.
