As the CFO, you will provide strategic leadership for all financial aspects of the organization. You will oversee accounting systems, financial analysis, internal controls, annual audits, budgeting, IT systems, and contractual arrangements. Qualifications What We’re Looking For:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or related field; Master’s degree and/or CPA preferred. Professional Experience:
Five or more years of leadership experience in financial management (nonprofit experience preferred). Relationship Building: Ability to establish credibility and build respectful relationships across all socio-economic segments and diversity dimensions. Analytical Skills:
Proficiency in understanding complex documents and applying financial thinking to various problems. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written presentation abilities.
Background Check: Criminal background check required, may include fingerprinting through OCFS. Physical Requirements:
Ability to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation Essential Functions Key Responsibilities: Operational Effectiveness: Utilize strategic and critical thinking to achieve organizational objectives.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills in technology and best practices. Team Leadership: Hire, train, develop, and supervise the Finance team.
Financial Accuracy: Ensure accounting procedures comply with GAAP and deliver accurate monthly financial reports. Budget Management:
Oversee the annual budgeting process, ensuring precision and alignment with strategic goals. Cash Flow Management: Ensure proper liquidity and adequate returns within acceptable risk levels.
Internal Controls: Maintain financial records and implement internal controls across the Association. Audit Representation:
Represent the organization in financial audits. IT Oversight: Manage YMCA’s IT infrastructure and contracts for quality, reliability, and security.
Collaboration and Communication: Promote inclusion and diversity, engage with staff at all levels, and foster relationships with financial partners. Mission Advancement:
Prioritize the Y’s mission, values, vision, and strategies in all work. Community Engagement: Support volunteerism and philanthropy and lead the Finance and Endowment Committees.
Special Projects: Undertake additional tasks as directed by the CEO.
