The Chief Financial Officer is responsible to direct and oversee the financial activities of Nucleus RadioPharma, direct the preparation of current financial reports and summaries, and create forecasts predicting future growth.
Description
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads the preparation and presentation of financial analysis and information regarding all strategic decisions.
Oversees investment of funds and bank accounts and works with investment bankers to raise additional capital required for expansion.
Works with the CEO and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.
Oversees Accounting department, budget preparation, and audit functions.
Works with other department heads to monitor each department and make recommendations.
Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
Reviews planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
Assesses the benefits and disadvantages of alternative models, distribution channels and further expansion.
Analyzes operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination.
Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share.
Recruits, interviews, hires and trains management and support staff in the department.
Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations and handles discipline in coordination with HR and company policy.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required; Master's degree preferred.
Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
Experience establishing generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) required.
Eight to ten years of experience in financial management required.
Five plus years in life sciences environment preferred.
Experience working in public accounting firm preferred.
Ability to create, format, analyze and share information in spreadsheets using logical, statistical, and mathematical functions
Demonstrated ability to multi-task, set priorities effectively and problem solve, including early identification of issues/problems that may arise
Excellent communications, interpersonal and collaboration skills, and ability to interact professionally with a wide range of individuals and organizations
Ability to work as a team member, socialize ideas and build successful working relationships
Analytical with an ability to problem-solve, and strong technical proficiencies in Microsoft Office products, and familiarity with leading project management software tools and software
Ability to work independently with minimal direction, and drive deliverable through to completion by deadlines provided
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and commitment to high quality work
Extended hours, shift and weekend work may be required from time to time
