The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a member of BevMo!'s Leadership Team and strategic thought partner to the CEO maximizing business strategies to drive value creation. This role is responsible for leading the finance and accounting organization in planning, implementation, and management of all financial and accounting activities including; long- and short-term business planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis, pricing analytics, accounting compliance management, and cash flow. The CFO collaborates cross-functionally, providing financial and accounting expertise to help functional leaders in decision-making and regularly interfaces with the Board of Directors, Towerbrook Capital Partners (our owner), audit partners, and external investors. The role is both strategic and operational, and we are looking for a hands-on, strong leader that views the role as a active participant driving the business versus an observer reporting the results.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Business Operations Finance

  • Oversee the processes for financial forecasting, budgeting, and the preparation of all quarterly and annual financial reporting, and communicating all financial reports

  • Lead the Long-Range Planning process including forecasting annual Sales, EBITDA, CAPEX, and key expense line targets and support achievement of targets through decisions and recommendations

  • Analyze financial and economic information to identify trends and indicators that may impact business operations, planning, investments and work with merchandising and marketing to recommend actions to drive revenue and profit growth

  • Present fiscal performance of the organization to members of the Leadership Team, as well as the board of directors (BOD) and investors

  • Oversee the pricing department ensuring accurate price changes and analysis to improve sales and profitability


  • Oversee the Accounting area in maintaining the general ledger, Tax Process, and Reporting

  • Oversee internal and external Audit process including compliance with regulatory matters, and GAAP principles

  • Partner with Audit Chair to prepare materials for audit committee

External Relationships

  • Manage relationship with external auditors

  • Lead Investor Relations and interface with Investors

  • Interface with BOD, in partnership with the CEO, and private equity (PE) partners on any future Company transactions and debt strategies


Skills and Competencies Required:

  • Strong financial and accounting background, including an understanding of income statements, balance sheets, cash flow management, and general finance and budgeting and their integration

  • Exceptional collaboration skills, proven ability to work effectively cross-functionally

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to create and present in a compelling manner to all levels of the organization and externally

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Effective negotiation and ability to persuade at all levels

  • Ability to operate in a rapidly changing environment and effectively delegate

  • Strong leadership with change management skills and ability to influence across the organization

  • Ability to lead a team of professionals with varying levels of experience leveraging individual strengths and developing the team performance

  • Strategic Orientation- shaping finance strategy in support of the company's business objective

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel

Education & Experience:

  • BA/BS required; MBA and CPA strongly preferred

  • 10+ years of experience in finance and accounting- CFO for organization of at least $500M or divisional head of a $2B+ Division

  • Experience with corporate governance, budget management, public/private accounting, cash flow, and corporate debt

  • Retail industry experience required

  • Experience in a Private Equity held company strongly preferred
