OverviewCritical Illness Recovery Hospitals

With approximately 100 locations throughout the country, Select Specialty and Regency hospitals provide highly specialized care to promote recovery from the most critical and complex medical and surgical conditions. We treat patients who usually have multiple system failure and are commonly on ventilator support.

Because our patients require a longer stay and a more resource-intensive level of care, we offer a unique setting for professional development and engagement. We have opportunities in nursing; physical, occupational, speech and respiratory therapy; pharmacy; and leadership and ancillary staff positions.

Responsibilities

Excellent opportunity to provide hands-on hospital operations management with a focus on business development, physician relations, quality services and fiscal accountability. The CEO position is a hands-on operations role with a focus on continued business development, physician relations, quality services and fiscal accountability.

Qualified candidates will have 5 to 7 years senior experience in leading acute care, LTAC or other specialty hospital operations, providing quality outcomes and resource stewardship. The ideal candidate will also have a strong commitment to authentic leadership, outstanding customer service and continuing program development in a dynamic and highly competitive healthcare market.

Qualifications

Position Overview The Chief Formation Officer (CFO) provides executive and fundraising support to organization while bringing leadership to capacity-building for statewide network, ensuring the successful execution of staff, clergy, leader, and general public formation tracks, including development of an online learning platform, focusing on alignment in partnership with the CSO. Leads Formation team and serves as liaison with FIA National for formation programming and development. Responsibilities FORMATION PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION Architect a multi-year developmental formation program that deploys organizational financial and human resources to accomplish our strategic 2 year, electoral cycle goals in service to our long-term structural change objectives. Develop curriculum utilizing relational organizing models and targeted universalism, in coordination with strategy team, that integrates a multi-faith, multi-issue formation journey for leaders, clergy, the staff, and general public to experience in community and through online learning platforms. Work in partnership with Faith in Action National training department to develop alignment of content and practice. COMMUNICATIONS Contribute to shared ethos around public narrative work and storytelling, both within state network and externally with partners/allies, while creating an online learning institute to provide user-friendly formation tracks for general public, creating more opportunities for scale in service to our strategic goals. Contribute to the development of political strategy as part of the team, with a focus on narrative. MANAGEMENT & ALIGNMENT Supervise a four-person Formation team focused around staff, clergy, leader and public formation programs. Participate on the executive team, which establishes priorities, establishes conditions to successfully achieve goals, strategies, and mission, and cultivates a healthy organizational culture. Work in partnership with Faith in Action National training department to develop alignment of content and practice. Qualifications Commitment to beloved community, social justice and the mission of PICO CA Cultural competence to work in a multicultural, multi-faith environment Master’s Degree in Education, Conflict Resolution or Psychology, preferred Experience in building online training platforms with a focus activating adult-learners within a volunteer context. 10+ years of combined experience (educational and/or executive) High-level curation and facilitation skill set 5+ years experience in senior leadership, staff development, and coaching multi-racial, multi-faith organizers and volunteer leaders Ability to handle multiple, high-leverage partner relationships in execution of overall organization strategy Self-Starter – you should be able to learn quickly and be resourceful in finding answers to questions or problems you are not familiar with Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills Experience working in social movement, community-based organizations. Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and unwavering commitment to mission Proven ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Preferred Skills Proficiency with MS Office and Apple/Macbook proficiency Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, board or other outside partners Bridge-building and conflict resolution orientation This position would be based in the Los Angeles, Oakland or Sacramento offices and report to the Co-Directors.
