The selected candidate will support Agile Application Development technologies and capabilities in the areas of software development, systems engineering, integration, and test of software applications and infrastructure. This effort will support the Department of Homeland Security USCIS Risk and Fraud DevSecOps contract.


Specialized Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing a team.

  • Experience in the leadership and design of complex systems.

  • Highest level technical knowledge of all phases of application systems and analysis and programming.

  • Strong project planning and estimating skills to include tasking, budgeting, scheduling, risk identification and mitigation, ability to think strategically, balancing of long and short-term priorities.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to lead discussions with clients and internal teams.


Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related technical field desired; MS in Computer Science preferred; or ten (10) years equivalent training and/or experience.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Shall have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the Information Technology field focusing on development projects, DevSecOps and technical architecture, of which three (3) years shall be in architecture & design deploying enterprise applications in cloud platforms, preferably in AWS.

  • Shall have, at a minimum, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management or Engineering, or other IT related degree or two (2) additional years of experience in the Information Technology field in lieu of a degree for a total of twelve (12) years of experience.

  • Shall possess expertise in large scale, high performance enterprise big data application deployment and solution architecture on complex heterogeneous environments in AWS.

Technical Qualifications - 5 years demonstrated experience with the following:

  • Agile Software Development

  • Full stack development

  • Container based web application development

  • DevOPS and automation experience

  • Experience with the following technologies:JAVA, DOCKER, Ansible, Terraform, Git, Angular, Postgres

  • Desired experience in system administration, including: administering Red Hat Linux, OpenAM, OpenLDAP, Apache httpd, Apache Tomcat

  • Creating and utilizing Containers

  • Administering and using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)

  • Applying Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA)

  • Security Information Technical Guides (SSTIGs)

  • Creating and utilizing cloud services

Specialized DHS/USCIS experience is a plus

Job summary The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Chief Solutions Architect for the Northeastern U.S. to join us in New York, NY, Boston, MA, or Washington, D.C.
