Serve as an engineering leader at JLL!

The Chief Engineer oversees the efficient, safe, and responsible operation of all building systems and equipment while also leading the engineering team. You will oversee a three-shift engineering team of 11 at a 237,000 square foot gaming and entertainment facility in North Randall, Ohio. This position requires the Chief Engineer to be on-site. Local market requirements may vary slightly.

Schedule: Schedule: 7am-3:30pm Monday through Friday, with occasional opportunities for paid overtime. Holiday work hours are often required but paid at a premium OT/Holiday pay rate. Overtime for alternating shift coverage may also be required on occasion.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• LEADERSHIP

• Supervise and manage engineers and maintenance staff including hiring, training, coaching and personal development.

• `Create and routinely update a documented plan that includes preventive, predictive and reactive maintenance procedures.

• Participate regularly in client-facing and property team communications.

• Lead, create and manage engineering budget and participate in overall operating budget process.

• Assist in the development of a capital improvement plan.

• Select, schedule, supervise and direct contractors; monitor and document performance.

• Respond effectively to emergencies and service calls.

• Lead and organize ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs and procedures.

• PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE & REPAIR SOFTWARE SYSTEMS

• Facilitate team activity to manage the 360 software, create PM activities, update client asset logs, and create or modify PM schedules to reflect best practice maintenance procedures.

• BUILDING AUTOMATION SYSTEM(S) and FACILITY ASSET INFORMATION

• Oversee and insure proper operation of automated systems.

• Work with BAS vendor(s), facilities team, and client management to improve, update, and maintain a true client asset inventory.

• Develop and/or organize and maintain accurate as-built information and drawings for facility infrastructure, such as:

• Pipe routing, valve locations, servicing areas.

• Electrical panel schedules, Electrical feeder schedules

• HVAC and unit drawings, location schedules and servicing area information.

• PROCESSES AND PROCEDURES

• Implement JLL operational and regulatory compliance programs

• Coordinate and implement safety processes and procedures.

• Integrate procedures into 360-PM software for distribution to team with assigned PM tasks.

• Facilitate the development of critical event procedures and protocols.

• PROJECT MANAGEMENT

• Coordinate facilities activities to support and enhance client driven special projects and/or construction activity.

• Incorporate new infrastructure or improvement projects into an asset management PM schedules

• Facilitate coordination between Facilities, Director (Client) and contractors to insure safe infrastructure tie in, isolation, demolition, abandonment, and modification.

• CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

• Understand abandoned infrastructure and formulate plans for removal/labeling, as appropriate.

• Manage the process to improve Inventory organization, shops and maintenance areas.

• TIME MANAGEMENT

• This is a role that requires excellent planning, trades coordination, ability to interact with all levels of the facilities reporting chain.

• A highly organized approach to daily, weekly, and long-range projects is paramount to success within this position.

• Excellent communication, documentation and time management within the Client, Contractor, and JLL Staff is key to an invisible operation for the customer entertainment experience.

• SAFETY

• Identify and integrate ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• 7+ years of related experience, especially as a Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer or similar.

• OSHA 30 Hour Certification.

• Contractor selection and management experience

• People management experience (leading a team).

• Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable.

• Universal CFC EPA certification is preferred.

• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall.

• Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive site vehicles.

• Extremely strong customer service and communication skills.
