Entercom Sacramento seeks a talented and energetic individual to serve as Chief Engineer for our 6 radio stations.

  • Minimum 5 years broadcast engineering experience

  • Oversee local technical staff

  • Manage activities for a goal of 100% uptime for station On-Air Products

  • Hands-on FM, HD and AM transmitter experience

  • AM Directional Antenna experience

  • Ability to inspect, repair, and maintain all broadcast radio station equipment, including transmitters, antenna's, satellite downlinks, automation system, studio equipment, remote equipment, generators, telephone system and related other equipment

  • Knowledge of FCC Rules and Regulations

  • Strong verbal and writing communications skills

  • Strong proven time management skills including ability to multi-task in a multiple project environment

  • Experience in project planning, management and execution

  • IT & Network knowledge and experience

  • Strong PC skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

  • Experience with Computer based audio storage system, Scott Systems/Google/WOAFR/VoxPro preferred

  • Experience with digital audio and audio streaming

  • Must have at least four years of college or technical school and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Availability to work various hours / days, including some weekends and holidays

  • Ability to provide on-call status 24/7 in case of equipment failure

  • Must have a valid driver's license

  • FCC General Class License or SBE Certifications are a plus

The Assistant Deputy/Clerk Recorder is responsible for providing administrative and technical supervision to lower level supervisory, technical and clerical staff that perform a variety of specialized work in examining, accepting and recording , protecting and preserving the County's legal documents, vital statistics, land transaction records, and other public records; issuing marriage licenses and certified copies; and performing other registration activities. Incumbents are over the operational activities of a community service center or two or more major sections within a division; or functions as the training officer within the County Clerk/Recorder Department. Two years of full-time paid technical experience with a State of California County Clerk's or County Recorder's office with responsibility for administering processes that required knowledge of legally recordable documents, forms, and records and applying laws, rules and procedures pertaining to the recording of documents; or in the field of real estate transaction processing found in the title, escrow or mortgage industries; AND 1b. One year of experience supervising or managing staff that is responsible for providing technical and clerical operational support in an environment that requires interpreting and applying laws and regulations. Note: If the word "experience" is referenced in the minimum qualifications, it means full-time paid experience unless the minimum qualification states that volunteer experience is acceptable. Part-time paid experience may be accumulated and pro-rated to meet the total experience requirements. Note: Clerk/Recorder duties performed in another County Office within the State of California would be considered qualifying. General Qualifications Criminal History and Background Check: The County may access criminal history information on candidates who have accepted a conditional offer of appointment for this class consistent with the provisions of Board of Supervisors Resolution No. 82-602, Personnel Policies and Procedures B-5, and applicable federal and state laws. The County shall not consider for employment any candidate who has been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor that relates to or impacts the candidate's ability to perform the job duties of this class unless it is determined that mitigating circumstances exist. For purposes of accessing criminal history information, the candidate will be fingerprinted. A subsequent arrest notification may be obtained. The County may also conduct a background check on the candidate prior to appointment to a position within this class. The background check may include personal and professional reference checks, credit history checks, Social Security Number verification, professional license/registration verification, military service information and driving history.
