As the leader of the Division, the Academic Chief will be responsible for the growth and advancement of research, faculty recruitment and development, scholarly activity and teaching excellence of the Division. The Division strives to be a nationally recognized cardiovascular program; advancing clinical, educational, research and scholarly activities with the goal of being a top tier division in all areas. The new Academic Chief will have the opportunity to lead this endeavor and to shape the growth of cardiovascular services across the RWJBarnabas Health/Rutgers Health System. She/he will be intimately involved in developing and executing a strategic plan and vision for integrated cardiovascular care while working closely with community cardiology leaders to collaboratively advance the delivery of cardiovascular care to the hospitals' patient populations.
