Summary:

As the Chief Digital Payments Officer at Bushel, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our money movement operations. You will lead the development, growth and scalability of our digital wallet products, and create an industry-leading agricultural banking and payments experience. You will manage a team of experienced professionals to drive adoption, establish reporting metrics, develop partnerships, ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and own the P&L. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, operations, and customer support, to ensure that our products meet the needs of our customers and achieve its growth and revenue goals. You will lead and manage technical partnership key to growth and risk management for Bushel. You will play a key part of our executive leadership team, making important and difficult decisions that affect the entire organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Corporate Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and drive fintech/payments long-term vision and strategy, using your expert business modeling skills to envision and articulate opportunities for monetization

• Build and manage cohesive, high-performing technical and business teams by fostering a winning culture that elevates performance and drives teammate engagement

• Establish, monitor and analyze key performance metrics that will guide Bushel to efficiently build and execute against our payment opportunities

• Build cross-functional relationships with marketing, sales, operations, and customer support, to ensure that the products meet the needs of our customers and achieves its growth and revenue goals and ensure alignment across all fintech and payment initiatives

• Business Development, Partnership Management & Growth

• Utilize knowledge and experience of establishing and operating a payments business to identify, recommend and execute strategies to further grow our network effect through Bushel and 3rd party integrations in order to deliver on our ambitious revenue targets

• Leverage genuine technical credibility to drive discussions with C-level stakeholders at both customer and financial services enterprises

• Increase Bushel's network effect by leading the product team to identify new workflows or user experiences that improve our value proposition and drive payment product adoption and usage

• Effectively leverage technical partnerships in strategy and operational efficiencies

• Analyze market trends and customer feedback to inform product strategy and roadmaps, staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices on the intersection of digital money movement and agriculture

• Work closely with the sales team to improve tactics and incentive structures that encourage customers to deploy and utilize our payments solution

• Operations, Compliance & Risk

• Oversee fintech and payments operations, including transaction processing, reconciliation, and fraud prevention, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance

• Manage the legal, transactional, financial, compliance, go to market and operational risk around technical partnerships

• Lead and guide our compliance organization to implement and maintain robust risk management practices to mitigate fraud, other related risks

• Stay informed about industry updates and changes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Bushel is Looking For:

• Experience leading a team with a financial product under an enterprise software, subscription-based model with annual revenue in excess of $20 million

• Financial product experience including B2B and B2C payments, digital wallets, and virtual cards

• Proven history of oversight for a compliance program applicable to banks and fintech partnerships, including BSA/AML/OFAC programs as well as risk estimation, monitoring, and mitigation

• Experience selling fintech to C-suites and large enterprises

• Ability to be bold - changing mindsets where it isn't a perceived problem

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team of professionals

• Excellent strategic and analytical skills, critical thinking with the ability to problem solve and make data-driven decisions

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams

• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry leaders

• Ability to travel frequently to Fargo and customer locations as appropriate for business needs

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. computer science, business, engineering) with a strong preference for an MBA

• 10+ years of experience in fintech.

• 7+ years of experience in SaaS

• Proven experience in a senior leadership role

• Strong understanding of financial services, technologies, and fintech industry

• Demonstrated excellence in managing partnerships with payment service providers, processors, and depository institutions

• Thorough understanding of payment regulations, compliance requirements, and risk management practices
