Night shift and day shift openings!

We are currently seeking a Medical Technologist/Technician to work in our Niht Chemistry Department to be responsible for performing automated Chemistry and Immunochemistry on state-of-the-art equipment. They will analyze, review, and report test results and quality control results and takes remedial action when indicated. They will also ensure specimen integrity by adhering to the laboratorys procedures for specimen handling and processing. Adheres to departmental policies and procedures to include departmental programs, quality control, quality assurance, and safety.

Will train on new state-of-the-art Chemistry/IA equipment

This position is eligible for a $5000 sign on bonus!

Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes technical skills and abilities to perform clinical laboratory testing.

  • Competently performs all tests in moderate complexity testing.

  • Follows laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analysis, reporting, and maintaining records of patient results.

  • Understands and operates test systems proficiently.

  • Ability to troubleshoot test systems and take appropriate action where indicated.

Qualifications:
1.A.S/B.S. Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science
2.NYS Department of Education License as a Medical Technologist
3.Certified in the area of Clinical Laboratory Science by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or ASCP eligible preferred
