Under immediate supervision, this position is responsible for learning and assisting the chemists with the physical/chemical testing of construction and maintenance materials to ensure conformity with applicable materials specifications and quality control standards as required.

Minimum Requirements
Education and experience: Student pursuing the educational equivalent of a bachelor's degree or master's degree in chemistry or science related field from an accredited college or university, completion of 30 college hours toward this degree, and a cumulative grade point average of 2.5.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Basic knowledge and application of safe laboratory practices. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to effectively communicate (written and oral). Detail oriented.
Physical requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
Working conditions: Laboratory environment.
