Overview

Seeking highly organized and detail-oriented individual to help ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (NAVSEA, CT DEEP, and EPA) and industry standards. Maintain documentation and records of all tests performed, including results and procedures used.

Collaborate with technicians and supervisor to identify and troubleshoot quality issues. Ensure compliance with training schedules and requirements, updating standard operation procedures (SOPs), assist in the preparation of analytical reports, maintain statistical control records for laboratory processes, assist with internal and external assessments of laboratory activities.

  • Documenting and updating standard operation procedures (SOPs).

  • Documenting all the operation issues with corrective and preventative actions and performing continuous improvement in operations.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and SOPs for sample collection, analysis, and data reporting

  • Assist in the preparation of reports related to analytical results

  • Help maintain compliance with various State of CT permits and NAVSEA requirements

  • Maintain quality and statistical control records for laboratory processes

  • Participate in various laboratory audits

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Chemical Engineering

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

Preferred:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience working an analytical chemistry laboratory

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skillls

  • Experience with various analytical software and proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe

  • Ability to use formulas ad create spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel

  • Strong time-management and organization skills

  • Strong ability to address multiple tasks simultaneously and to manage projects effectively
