About You

We're seeking a result-focused, innovative, self-driven, and well-qualified individual to join our talented team as our Chemist. Based out of our Torrington Connecticut location, you will develop new products that will contribute to the aggressive growth of the company by formulating new adhesives and coatings using new product introduction process and company roadmaps. Most of the time, the incumbent is expected to work under the guidance and tutelage of the R&D Project Leaders

  • To develop new products that will contribute to the aggressive growth of the company by formulating new adhesives and coatings using new product introduction process and company roadmaps. Most of the time, the incumbent is expected to work under the guidance and tutelage of the R&D Project Leaders
  • Develop new product formulations that meet customer needs and timetables by preparing formulations, performing physical property tests, and monitoring stability of chemical products and interfacing with the R&D Project Leaders
  • Review product development results with the R&D Project Leader by providing effective presentations and test reports
  • Complete product modifications to meet departmental goals and timelines by conducting experiments and performing hands-on formulation work then relaying results to stakeholders
  • Review critical information about product testing and characteristics by recognizing, defining, and relating product development action items, and by disseminating timely information with the R&D Project Leader
  • Manage and maintain formulation trials and test results by accurately updating laboratory notebooks and records in a timely manner
  • Maintain a safe, healthy, clean, ergonomically sensitive productive workplace by observing best housekeeping practices for equipment and products use, storage and handling, and by maintaining full compliance with employee health and safety requirements
