The Chemical Process Operator performs all chemical process tests required to maintain chemical balance and material mixtures necessary for operation. Operate and control systems and adjust equipment including wash water and waste water solutions oils and materials.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Understands and complies with position related safety SOPs and work instructions especially for LockoutTagout Waste Water Treatment Chemical Handling Machine Guarding Housekeeping SQF and Personal Protective Equipment. Perform required chemical process tests to maintain prescribed chemical balance or material mixture necessary for operation of equipment. Sample solutions at prescribed intervals to assure proper chemical balance and measures waste content.

Mix and maintain solutions in the operation for the process washer deionizers coolant systems water treatment and soluble oil filtration systems. Responsible for handling mixing and storage of chemicals and compounds. Prepare chemical wash solutions for the washer involving measuring chemicals in liquid or dry form mixing chemicals testing for chemical makeup and use of chemical handling and safety equipment.

Prepare batches of soluble oil mixture according to prescribed percentages. Setup tend adjust and maintain washer and waste water equipment including changing filters and cleaning filter screens. Install maintain repair and assist with overhaul pumps piping plumbing and support equipment.

Monitor and maintain and report the Hazardous Waste Program as required. Unload and store barrel tote or bulk materials deliveries such as oil and chemicals. Deliver materials to ready for use places.

Maintain inventory records of supplies used in process. Examine test and measure product from assigned equipment for quality specifications using appropriate gauges and instruments and record date. Perform Preventative Maintenance inspection of assigned equipment report findings and take appropriate action.

Write and perform maintenance work orders as required. Notify supervisor of any incidences of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken and of any poor quality material or supplies noted. Operate equipment and assist production as directed.

The Industrial Truck Operator operates the industrial truck forklift to perform transportation assignments in designated locations according to prescribed method. Identify and transport material to and from storage areas, cars or trucks, machines and loading docks. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Understands and complies with position related safety SOPs and work instructions especially for safe forklift operation, Lockout/Tagout, Chemical Handling, Machine Guarding, Housekeeping, SQF and Personal Protective Equipment. Identify many types, sizes and labels of finished or in process, products, shipping material or other processing materials. Familiarize self with productive capacity of machines or lines and work from schedule and change sheets to assure correct and prompt delivery of items to proper destination. Collect scrap and/or spoilage and load into baler. Operate baler, remove jams and compacted scrap in equipment. Clean and lubricate baler. Load bales of scrap on return pallets. Weigh and mark scrap pallets. Keep records. Use hand truck or dollies work saver or similar powered vehicles. Use hand or automatic strapping equipment to replace or add strapping to loads. Handle and pile skids pallets or drums. Repile spilled loads of materials or product. Move and replace scrap receptacles located throughout the plant. Segregate weigh and record scrap for shipment. Record incoming and outgoing production and supplies. Load correct finished product into trailers. Insert and fill air bags, safe guard product. Install wood, dunnage and material in trailers per loading specs. Receive incoming material to proper storage or use location using lift truck or hand cart. Notify supervisor of any incidences of recurring equipment malfunctions, discrepancies in shipments, receipts, delays and corrective action taken, and of any poor quality material or supplies noted. Operate equipment and assist production as directed. Make routine inspections of lift trucks to see that they are properly serviced. Add lubrication and coolant as required or service batteries. Handle dock board packages, bracing and strapping. Use tools for bracing trucks and cars. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Familiar with Personal Protective Equipment Certified to operate a forklift.
