Chemical Process Engineers ResourceTek, in partnership with a leading global chemical manufacturer, is seeking skilled professionals for long-term contract assignments in South Carolina (Greenville/Spartanburg). We are looking for Chemical Process Engineers, Project Schedulers, Project Managers, and other capital projects personnel to join our dynamic team. Who We're Looking For:

We are interested in individuals with a strong background and experience in the chemical process areas of the textile, flooring, and healthcare industries. If you are a senior-level project professional with experience designing, directing, and controlling distinct chemical processes according to established policies and procedures, we want to hear from you The ideal candidates will have: In-depth knowledge of chemical process improvements, chemical engineering, chemistry, and process equipment.

The skills to implement process changes effectively. A proven track record in process design and changes, procedural and process safety, quality, cost management, waste reduction, and process training. Experience mentoring, managing, and training new engineers.

Job Responsibilities: Analyze process reliability, capacity, throughput, and quality to develop and implement improvements. Write and modify batch sheets (Pilot Plant or Production) and other procedures for new or existing products, ensuring process reliability and adherence to protocols.

Submit and implement approved recommendations for process changes or equipment modifications. Utilize statistical methods to analyze process inputs and outputs. Review equipment preparation procedures prior to major maintenance, freeze-thaw cycles, or equipment modifications.

Provide 24/7 support during emergencies, start-ups, scale-ups, and production challenges as needed. Maintain technical documentation and records for assigned processes, including safety, quality, yield, productivity, cost, and reliability metrics. Improve product capability (CPK) and implement corrective actions for out-of-control products.

Develop corrective and preventive measures for processing failures such as equipment failure, downtime, off-quality issues, late orders, and customer complaints. Respond promptly to Quality Audits and complete action requests. Generate, implement, and track cost improvement projects within assigned process areas.

Prepare training schedules and guide trainees to become effective Process Engineers. Ensure compliance with process safety management (PSM) requirements and environmental regulations. Actively participate in plant safety programs and processes.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1st shift with possible overtime and on-call hours. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. 3 years of experience in a relevant field.

Strong ability to communicate and interact with various organizational levels and outside vendors. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle pressure, and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to climb stairs and obtain medical clearance to wear a full-face respirator. Preferred Qualifications: 5 years of progressive experience in chemical manufacturing or chemical engineering in a process and/or project-focused role.

Experience with Focused Improvement methodologies (DEMAIC, Six Sigma). Knowledge of control systems (Siemens PCS7, Delta V). Experience with both batch and continuous processes. Familiarity with PSM (Process Safety Management)-covered chemical processes. Experience in capital projects and control system startups.
