TheChemical Lab Technician is accountable for representing Wesco Aircraft values,quality and commitment, and performing value added functions of chemicalmanagement on the customer site. This person is responsible for consistentinteraction with various customer site personnel in a lab and/or productionenvironment. They are expected to perform routine laboratory assignments as itpertains to samples received of various chemical agents including, but not limitedto: lubricants, oils, fuel, and coolant. Additionally, this employee will beresponsible for supporting a safe and hazard free workplace, specifically inchemical materials handling processes, procedures, and utilizing all required

Personal Protective Equipment. This position requires the utmost level ofprofessionalism in the face of the customer and excellent correspondence skillsusing various methods of communication and comprehension of technical language.


  • RepresentWesco's vision, values and objectives in all job-related activities, sustainingexcellent customer relationships

  • Maintainstrong knowledge of Wesco products including, but not limited to, hardware,chemicals, tooling, and electric components, services, inventory systems,quality requirements, and customer plans and specifications

  • Receive,verify, and catalog product sampling and documentation to ensure accuracy ofproduct and processes required for analysis

  • Preparesamples for testing procedures

  • Performsample analysis of chemicals that are submitted by both internal and externalcustomers and/or of bulk deliveries, as required

  • Samplingprocesses are inclusive but not limited to: Viscosity, Total Base/Acid Number,Specific Gravity, X-Ray Fluorescence (Total Sulfur), Distillation, ParticleCount

  • Documentanalysis updates and results in company/customer/supplier qualityportals/inventory management systems

  • Provideprofessional feedback regarding conforming and/or non-confirming product tointernal and external customers

  • Maintaina clean working environment including, but not limited to: processing wastesolvent, fluid disposal, and lab supply cleaning (glassware)

  • Maintainadequate stock levels for performing required processes in the customer site'slaboratory

  • Respondto hazardous material releases and provide spill clean-up according to Safety& Health standards while utilizing and interpreting chemical detectiondevices and associated equipment, as required

  • Provideassistance to the lab and chemists on the customer site, as required

  • Activelyseek and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy

  • Accommodatespecial requirements which may be established by the customer/ supervisor,including but not limited to work schedule changes, required overtime, workingholidays, and weekends, as needed

  • Followestablished work procedures to assure compliance with all customer siterequirements in accordance with safety and security processes; in addition toalignment with Federal, State, and Local regulatory agencies including: OSHA,FAR, EPA, DOT, and RCRA requirements

  • Attendregularly scheduled customer or company-sponsored meetings and/or training, asrequired

  • Performother duties as assigned for customer site/contractual compliance


  • High School Diploma or GED is required

  • Bachelor's Degree in a closely related field, such asChemistry, Chemical Management, Engineering, etc. is preferred; and/or a lesserdegree with pertinent job-related experience may be acceptable

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience pertaining to chemicalcompatibility (Balancing pH levels, etc.) and lab procedures, required

  • Demonstrated basic knowledge in advanced analyticaltechniques in: Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP), Liquid Chromatography (LC),Gas Chromatography (GC), FT-IR required

  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills utilizing technicallanguage to communicate effectively in the laboratory environment

  • Proven familiarity and experience with LaboratoryInformation Management Systems

  • Hazwoper Training (40 Hours) preferred

  • Excellent verbal andwritten communication skills, with professional daily interaction with internaland external customers, serving various levels of the company

  • Demonstrated excellenceand commitment to a safe and hazard free workplace

  • Demonstrated knowledgeand/or competency pertaining to chemical compatibility (Balancing pH levels,etc.) preferred

  • Must be able to activelysupport and wear PPE (Respirator, Face Shield, Apron, Gloves, etc.) as required

  • Excellentorganizational and time-management skills

  • Clear and accurate dataentry and documentation skills

  • Strong follow-throughand perseverance to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Excellent customerservice skills with the ability to deal tactfully, confidently and ethicallywith both internal and external customers

  • Ability to be detailedoriented and perform in-depth research, as required

  • Strong competency working with integrated data systems,Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and intermediate to advanced Word and

Excel, as applicable and/or required

This position requires use of information which is subject to compliancewith the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Job Summary: * Identify steps in established procedures to provide technical assistance for selected diagnostic and interventional invasive cardiology procedures, which include supply, equipment operation, monitoring, imaging and use of medical devices. * Use hemodynamic and ECG monitoring, including interpretation of data. * Scrub assist for all diagnostic and interventional CV procedures including preparation of supplies and instruments, preparation and maintenance of the sterile field, preparation and manipulation of cardiac catheters, guide-wires and devices. * Injection of contrast media and medications from the sterile field as directed and supervised by the physician. * Documentation of procedures and patient information according to hospital policy. * Assist to coordinate procedure schedule as assigned. * Assist with inventory control as directed by the supervisor / manager. * Support the mission, vision, and values of the organization. * Other duties as assigned.
