Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Sous Chef or other similar position strongly preferred.
Responsible for personnel matters which may include but not necessarily be limited to interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, coaching, evaluation, promoting, counseling, and discharging.
Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications
Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing

Responsible for insuring that staff has food, supplies, equipment and tools necessary execute menu service, in accordance with established specifications in a timely manner.
Duties include directing, training and evaluating staff. Chef is responsible for timekeeping, scheduling and insuring compliance with all policies, procedures and regulations. All responsibilities must be executed on a continuous basis while meeting budget objectives.
Must possess substantial knowledge of cooking methods, of various cuisines and the skill set to execute all phases of required duties consistently.
Insure that all guests are provided an ultimate dining experience.
Offer cuisine that incorporates industry trends in a tasteful and appealing manner.
Establish relationships with guests for the purpose of procuring their continued patronage.
Resolve guest service issues related to food quality or preparation in an appropriate and timely fashion. Apologize when warranted.
Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
Must have a thorough knowledge of cooking techniques, menus and recipes for a specific cuisine or style of room in which assigned.
