Sodexo is seeking an experienced Chef Manager for our food service operations at Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL!
The Chef Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the daily culinary food and beverage operations for one of the dining room on campus, as well as providing supplemental support for other campus culinary operations as needed. The Chef Manager will work collaboratively with the Sodexo management team on campus to provide culinary innovation and set high standards to be implemented and maintained in order to ensure great customer experiences.
Ideal candidate will have:
College/University high volume culinary experience;
Strong culinary background with experience in catering and banquets;
Emphasis on food presentation, quality, execution, menu design & implementation;
Focus on customer service excellence;
Demonstrated experience providing strong leadership, including supervision, direction and training, to a diverse team of employees;
Focus on food and physical safety and sanitation;
Experience managing food and labor cost controls to meet targets;
High level of computer literacy and skill-set;
Strong understanding of financials.
