Chef Manager (Retail Director)

SAGE Dining Services is seeking a creative Chef Manager (Retail Director) with high-end catering experience for a retail operation at a private day school in Palos Verdes, CA. The Retail Director will develop strong relationships with the community, design and produce menus that will create excitement and promotional content for the retail program, plan and execute catering events, manage ordering and inventory, develop our amazing kitchen team, and aid in general location management with the Food Service Director.

Our Managers have drive and passion for what they do. They design menus that reflect the communities they serve.

They write these menus at the venue. Our Managers hire their teams, manage orders, inventory, catering, and lead talent management. Our Managers care about their campus communities, and the relationships they form make the career choice to work for SAGE that much more enjoyable. Our clients are appreciative, as they see the hard work that we produce at every meal, and they see the passion we put into our scratch menus.

This is a retail operation, so experience with merchandising, creating menu items that increase sales and as well as guest satisfaction is required.

The schedule is usually weekdays. The work is centered on the weekday meals and snacks. The chef is also responsible for all catering which may occur occasionally on the weekends and a Summer camp program
