Sodexo's universities segment currently has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Chef Manager at a long tenured and premier account for Sodexo at University of Wisconsin Eau Claire located in beautiful Eau Claire, WI. Our Chef Manager will lead the culinary staff in our high volume Bakery. Experienced Baker preferred, Reporting to our Resident District Manager, you will oversee 8 Bakers in the bakery that serves 60,000 pieces of baked goods weekly. You will have the opportunity to interact with the students and faculty on a daily basis.
The best qualified candidate has:
Culinary Management experience, preferably on a university campus;
Passion for food and keeping abreast of culinary trends;
Drive to be a true teacher of food to a diverse work force and desire to grow our team in culinary excellence;
Excellent client relations skills, professionalism and a proactive hands-on approach that is able to set Sodexo standards and follow-through on meetings;
Culinary Degree (preferred);
Organized, task list driven;
Proven track record of enforcing food safety / HACCP / sanitation standards;
Ability to manage a team with respect and motivate team with encouragement.
