The Chef de Cuisine will oversee the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service. This role involves leading a team of culinary professionals, creating and executing menus, and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in an upscale dining, a creative approach to menu development, and a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Menu Development: Design and implement innovative menus that reflect the restaurant’s concept and seasonal availability of ingredients.
  • Leadership: Lead and mentor the kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee ordering, receiving, and stocking of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
  • Cost Control: Manage food costs and labor expenses to meet budgetary requirements.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the restaurant management team to coordinate food service and address any operational issues.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Interact with guests to gather feedback and ensure a memorable dining experience.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum  3 years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine or similar role in a high-end restaurant.
  • Education: Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency in menu development and food costing.
  • Creativity: Ability to create innovative dishes and adapt to changing trends and customer preferences.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house staff.
  • Passion: A genuine passion for food and commitment to delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
