Electric Vehicle Digital Design (EVDD) is responsible for developing the key technologies and capabilities - such as EV platforms, batteries, e-motors, inverters, charging and recycling - to create ground-up breakthrough electric vehicles. These Ford Chassis Controls positions involve a mix of theory, computer simulation, and in-vehicle testing. We are seeking Controls Engineers and Software Engineers in our Dearborn, Michigan location.

We are looking for embedded software professionals to join our agile, technically expert engineering team that is proudly innovative, adaptable, curious, and organized to capitalize on emerging trends and opportunities.

What you'll do...

• Develop control algorithms using MATLAB embedded controller or handcode

• Create requirements and design verification plans for vehicle motion control functions

• Perform software functional validation (MIL/SIL testing), working closely with chassis controls analytical methods test engineers to prove out functions

• Collaborate with feature and system engineers to develop the SW functions to enable new experiences for our customers

• Calibrate and test features in prototype vehicles
