The Joseph "Eddie" Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center is a 156-bed long term care facility located in beautiful Hanson, Kentucky that is committed to serving Kentucky's Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity and providing compassionate care.
We are currently seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to work in our nursing department as a Charge Nurse. This position will serve in the roll of Charge Nurse and supervise professional and ancillary employees in the administration of efficient nursing care.
Must have an active, unrestricted/probated status as a Registered Nurse on the KBN licensure verification.

Administer medications and treatments, as well as helping to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of our Veterans.
This position offers 15% on top of base pay for all hours worked on second and third shifts and 25% on top of base pay for all hours worked on a holiday or weekend.

This job requires mandatory COVID 19 vaccination or an approved exemption in accordance with CMS-3415-IFC from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. This means if appointed to the position, the applicant must have completed the primary vaccination series for COVID-19, which means the administration of a single- dose vaccine or the administration of all required doses of a multi-dose vaccine upon commencement of employment.
The vaccine received must be one of the FDA-approved or FDA-authorized vaccines. Proof of vaccination will be required. If a medical or religious exemption is sought, the candidate must submit paperwork to the employer prior to appointment for review and approval.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have two years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: A bachelor's degree in nursing will substitute for one year of the required experience.
