Job Description Job Description We are looking for an experienced Charge Nurse for an Ambulatory Surgery Center in Mesa, Arizona. We are an outpatient surgery center with 2 OR’s that provides high quality, patient centered care in a comfortable atmosphere.
The facility averages monthly case volume 270 cases and specializes in Cutaneous Reconstruction, Dermatological Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Facial/Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery. The Charge Nurse is responsible for collaborating with the physicians and staff to devise individualize care plans for patients; assist surgeons during operations; circulating, scrubbing, pre-op and post-op; observe and monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs, communicate to the physicians to provide the best possible care and advice. Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and charting.
The Charge Nurse is also responsible for achieving the objectives of the Center. You will create a collaborative and efficient workplace with attention to high quality standards and policies set by the physician owners while maintaining the company culture, being a part of giving exceptional patient care, and assisting in oversee all personnel within the Center. A Charge Nurse should be a hard-working and compassionate registered nurse who steadily developed their leadership skills.

Responsibilities Direct, oversee and evaluate all nursing personnel, medical assistants and other staff within the Center Set objectives and goals for the staff that align with the Company Mission Organize and coordinate staffing, nursing and patient care procedures Develop and enforce policies aiming for legal compliance and high quality standards Resolve issues and deficiencies when needed Manage record-keeping procedures Collaborate with administrator of our clinics, physicians and other staff within the organization to streamline operations Report to upper management and owner physicians Skills Proven experience as charge nurse In-depth knowledge of ambulatory surgery center procedures and KPI/KQIs of patient care Great knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare Great knowledge of Medicare regulations and AAAHC Willingness to keep abreast of changing standards in nursing administration Function well under pressure and prioritize high case volume and efficiency Excellent ability to lead and develop personnel Great communicator and positive interpersonal skills Outstanding organizational and stress management skills Detail orientated and utilize critical thinking skills and problem solving Degree in nursing; Master’s degree in nursing or healthcare administration is a plus Valid nursing and CPR certification If you are interested in joining our team, please send reply to this posting.
