Crouse#s Medical/Surgical Acute Care Unit on 7 Memorial has 19 beds on the floor and specializes in wound care, skin integrity maintenance and tracheotomy care. We are currently hiring a Charge Nurse. The Permanent Charge Nurse is responsible for the direction and administration of patient care during a specified shift within a geographically defined unit as delegated by the Unit Manager.#This process is enacted through direct clinical practice, management of patient care, general professional activities and ongoing communication with the Unit Manager.#### Pay Range: $33 - $47.86 / hour (based on experience) Schedule: Part-Time, 7am to 7:30pm, working every other weekend.# Crouse also offers competitive Shift Differentials on Evenings, Nights and Weekends! RNs can get up to a $20,000 Sign-on Bonus! Registered Nurse (RN) Position Responsibilities: Provides professional judgment and knowledge of roles as it pertains to the Crouse Hospital Professional Nursing Practice Model. Carries out duties and responsibilities per legal requirements under the Registered Nurse Scope of Practice, with emphasis on leading a culture of safe care. Responsible for all activities requiring assessment, planning, diagnosing, evaluating, judgment, problem-solving, creating and implementing the plan of care. Provides appropriate education to patients and families to promote health, facilitate rehabilitation and maintain wellness. Evaluates effectiveness and revises as appropriate. Monitors and evaluates patient responses to treatment/plan of care during hospital stay. Utilizes and engages in evidence based practice to deliver quality patient care. Demonstrates characteristics and skills that promote critical thinking in clinical problem solving situations. Requirements: Graduate from an accredited nursing degree program. Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State or, if hired as a Graduate Nurse, a NYS limited licensure work permit must be obtained within ninety (90) days of graduation and the GN must successfully pass the NCLEX exam within 120 days of the beginning of employment to obtain the required professional nursing licensure with New York State.
