Charge Nurse (1St, 2Nd And 3Rd Shift) Columbus, Ga)

West Central Georgia Regional Hospital- Columbus, Ga. is seeking qualified applicants for RN Charge Nurse.

Shift:3rd (11:00pm- 7:30am)

Expected role and responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and other staff to provide the most comprehensive care possible to our patients
• Responsible for the activities within your assigned unit for the duration of the shift
• Ensuring staff adheres to workplace protocols and procedures
• Supervise nursing personnel, including training and disciplining
• Act as a liaison between nurse and doctors
• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and client records
• Overseeing the smooth transition from one shift to another
• Strong organizational and problem - solving skills are integral to this position

Psychiatric Nurse Requirements and Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing
• Master's degree in nursing with a focus on psychiatry or mental health strongly preferred
• Georgia State RN license OR Compact RN license
• Basic Life Support certification
• Experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting is preferred

A minimal of 2 years clinical experience is required for an RN to become a Charge Nurse
