Charge Master Coordinator Full Time Days

Summary

Assumes responsibility for pre-audit of accounts having APC edits, audits ordered by insurance companies, external audit agencies as third parties, Centralized Business Offices, and patients. Obligated to work and interact with Department Directors regarding Corporate and Hospital billing policies, procedures and protocols.

To assist ancillary and nursing departments with charge master reviews and revisions. Participates in Chart Audit Committee meetings, provides concurrent audit results in report form and the recommendations for remedial action plans when necessary. Reports directly to Director of Revenue Analysis.

Qualifications

Effective communication skills, 10 key adding machine, knowledge of PC software, especially proficient in Excel and Word programs. Experienced as a Medical Auditor, Medical Coder or Medical Technologist at least one year.

Licensure / Certification

RN, LVN or RHIA preferred

Education and Experience

Previous experience and knowledge of acute care hospital charges and billing edits.

Mandatory Requirements

• Hospital Mandatory Education Requirements: Orientation, Environment of Care, OSHA, Infection Control, Abuse/ Neglect, and Ethics

• Tuberculosis Screening

• Licensure Renewal

Pay Range: $45.08 Minimum - $69.86 Maximum an hour

Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an employee's qualifications and experience.
