Job Description

Job Summary:

Ministers to the spiritual, emotional, psychosocial and cultural needs of patients, family members, and hospital staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs pastoral visitation, public worship services, and outreach services in assigned areas or to specific faith groups.

  • Assesses and responds to the spiritual and emotional needs of those counseled, including crisis intervention and bereavement.

  • Participates in an interdisciplinary approach to pastoral care and patient health.

  • Documents visits and interventions appropriately according to the standards of the healthcare organization.

  • This is a PRN position

Qualifications

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Preferred Credential(s):
  • Certified Chaplain credentialed from the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC), the College of Chaplains, the Association of Clinical Pastoral Educators (ACPE) OR the Association of Professional Chaplains (APC).

Education:

  • HS or Equivalent

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred A minimum of one (1) unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) (400 hours) or equivalent required

Work Experience:

  • Experience in the job related field required.

Job Description Job Summary: 2 surgeon practice in Appleton, WI looking for a PRN (as needed) CV PA/NP to practice in a full-scope setting. Our practice currently performs equal cardiac and thoracic procedures. Responsibilities: * Assess the physical condition of CV patients by performing physical examinations and obtaining medical histories prior to undergoing surgical procedures. * Formulate the medical plan and prognosis based on the patient's condition. * Consults with physician(s) regarding patient health care plans and treatment. * Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess the patient's clinical problems and health care needs. * Initiates and/or recommends medical drug therapies or other forms of related therapeutic treatment and procedures in accordance with approved protocols/policies. * First Assist during open heart, thoracic, surgical procedures under the direction of the attending physician. * Assist with pre-and post-operative care of the cardiothoracic/vascular surgical patients. * Coordinate the day's work and events and work closely with the surgical team. * Will be responsible for rounding, seeing consults, pre-operative testing follow up and writing orders on pre-op & post-op patients.
