Full Time: 40 hrs per week. Schedule includes a variety of day shifts, evenings, and overnights. Every other weekend and some holidays are included. Candidates must have flexibility. The duration of this position is 1 year and begins in August 2020.

POSITION SUMMARY: Chaplain Residents are students enrolled in a year long Clinical Pastoral Education Program. As a part of their clinical experience, they are assigned to various units throughout the hospital and serve as on-call chaplains for the department. Provide a pastoral ministry to patients, families and hospital personnel. Patient care includes care to patients in the following age groups: pediatric (30 days through 12 years), adolescent (13 through 18 years), adult (19 through 64 years), and geriatric (65 years and above).


  • Fully participate in the educational activities in the CPE program.

  • Provide visitation and pastoral care to hospitalized patients and their families in assigned areas.

  • Provide pastoral care coverage to patients and their families throughout the hospital during on-call shifts.

  • Function as a member of the Pastoral Care Department.

  • Assist in the building of team relationships with hospital staff in patient care


  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.

  • Completion of some graduate level theological courses from an accredited theological school or seminary. Master of Divinity or Master of Arts in related field is preferred.

  • Completion of one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education.

  • Previous experience in ministry either as a clinical student or work setting.

  • Personal availability and skills for relating to people from various backgrounds and beliefs with respect

  • Previous ministry experience in a hospital setting preferred.

This position includes the creation of strategic vision and tactical management including execution, examples include but are not limited to: * Achieves Procurement targets globally or regionally for assigned categories inclusive of cost, innovation, quality, and supplier performance to assigned categories. * Direct responsibility for spend within the respective Indirect Materials and Services Categories. * Responsible for contract management of assigned categories and fully accountable for developing Supplier Metric Scorecards for Indirect Categories, where applicable. * Maintains business relationships with strategic suppliers and is point of contact for supplier issues within the assigned categories including issues related to service, commercial terms and contract disputes. * Leads, co-leads, or supports commercial sourcing activity across assigned Indirect Materials and Services categories as required to meet company objectives (e.g. e-Auction, RfX processes). * Leads, co-leads, or supports non-commercial events as required to meet objectives, including, but not limited to Kaizen workshops, Working Capital/Inventory Workshops. * Executes contract authoring and Terms and Conditions negotiations with suppliers classified in assigned categories and projects. * Accountable for Performance areas: Cost Savings (SRT), Supplier performance, challenging of material & service specifications (demand management). * Executes global best-in-class procurement processes using state-of-the-art procurement IT software support, ensuring the Procurement organization is utilizing the maximum potential within global and local markets (Cost Savings, Innovation, Quality, Logistics).
