CHANS Home Health & Hospice is full service non-profit, Joint Commission Accredited agency providing skilled home health, hospice, and an array of community-based wellness clinics and support services in Midcoast Maine. Part of Mid Coast-Parkview Health, CHANS has been providing home health and wellness services in our community since 1947. When you or a loved one is sick, recovering from surgery or an acute or chronic illness, or approaching the end of life, there is no place like home. We provide medical services in your home, where you are most comfortable.

Position Summary

• Spiritual Counselor is responsible for providing support to patients, residents, families and staff, relating to the spiritual aspect of the organization, either directly or through coordination of care and other Spiritual Counselors.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: N/A

• License/Certification: Certificate of Ordination or Endorsement from congregation required.

• Experience: Experience working with beneficiaries and families coping with terminal illness and death required.

• Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required.

• Must be able to travel to individual locations on a daily basis
