The Chaplain directs all activities involving chaplain contribution. Works with all hospital departments and personnel to provide spiritual guidance and support during illness, injury and/or emergency to patients, family members, visitors, hospital staff, and physicians.
Provides leadership and counseling to employees as requested. Formulates programs and policies to meet the spiritual needs of the organization. Employee will recognize the population specific needs of the patients and apply the appropriate knowledge, skills and behaviors to meet those needs when performing patient activities.
Bachelor's degree and a Master's of Divinity from an accredited theological seminary required
Membership on American Association of Pastoral Counselors or Association of Clinical Pastoral Education required
Healthcare endorsement from ordaining denomination required
2 years experience in Pastoral care work preferred
Faith based counselor and training certification
Victim's Chaplainry Training
Theological background training with Clinical Pastoral education related to medical/ethical issues, spiritual and grief counseling.
