The Algolia Channel Solutions Engineering Team plays a vital role in enabling Algolia partners to bring joint solutions to market and fuel Algolia's partner-led growth (PLG).

As a Channel Solutions Engineer, you will be involved early in the evangelizing, onboarding, and supporting of strategic System Integrators, Independent Software Vendors, and Cloud Service Providers, working both at the solution and the go-to-market levels. Raising awareness and helping them implement solutions with the help of Engineering, Marketing, Alliances, and Revenue teams is also an important and company-strategic aspect of the role.

This position will require not only technical mastery of Algolia's suite of offerings, but also the ability to communicate solution benefits and the importance of synergy with partners as an ecosystem. This is a highly autonomous role in which no one day will be the same as the last, and where there's a lot of interaction with all the company's teams.

YOUR ROLE WILL CONSIST OF:

  • Enabling new ISV and SI partners to enter into the Algolia ecosystem, and provide ongoing technical presales support for the initial stages of strategic leads and opportunities raised by partners.

  • Assisting in the most strategic opportunities that are partner influenced or sourced, to drive revenue closure and repeatable growth.

  • Enabling the design of new architectures and solutions by SI and ISV that partners bring to the market.

  • Enabling bi-directional communication between partners and our internal teams based on additional product capabilities, implementation feedback, integration architectures.

  • Contributing to processes, documentation, and tooling to ensure the team can scale efficiently.

  • Contributing to the preparation & animation of events with the ecosystem.

YOU MIGHT BE A FIT IF YOU HAVE:

  • 3+ years professional experience as a Software Engineer or Architect. Previous software development experience in one or more of the following areas: Front End: Javascript, React, Vue Back-End: Java, Javascript, Ruby, Go, Node, Python, Swift/Objective-C.

  • 2+ years experience in a client-facing or pre-sales role.

  • Great communication skills.

  • Superior organizational skills working with multiple stakeholders and have the ability to switch context quickly.

  • Excellent written and oral English skills.

  • Ability to travel (< 25% of time).

  • Experience at our current stage and beyond ($50-200M ARR range, high growth, lots of change and building internal infrastructure).

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Prior experience working for a digital agency, systems integrator, or other channel technical consulting role

  • A background in the search industry or e-commerce

  • Prior experience in education or public speaking

  • Knowledge of UX / UI design and an understanding of common tools (Sketch, Photoshop, etc.)

  • Knowledge in Analytics, SEO
