The Marketing Manager of SMN Channel Marketing

  • Americas Small and Midsize Business provides marketing strategy and execution for Channel marketing for the business unit serving business ranging in size from one to 1000 employees. The ideal candidate is an agile and respected marketer who takes pride in establishing marketing strategy and implementing marketing execution that exceed goals with measurable results.

This role is accountable for supporting aggressive revenue growth targets across Small and Midsize Businesses (SMB) while driving awareness of Concur's market leading suite of on-demand services through Channel marketing programs. The Marketing Manager will play a role on the SMN Marketing team focused on executing the appropriate mix of partner channel and strategies to deliver the aggressive pipeline targets needed to fuel one of the fastest growing business units for Concur.

Key responsibilities include development and refinement of segment-specific and channel marketing programs, including content and "ready to go" through channel marketing campaigns. In partnership with Channel, Corporate Marketing and Global Product Marketing, the Marketing Manager will need to be highly collaborative, and thrive in a highly matrixed and transformational work environment.

As a member of the SMN Marketing team, the Marketing Manager contributes to the impact and results of the business unit, and will play a key role in defining and supporting the path forward for Concur's channel objectives. This role reports to the Director of demand Generation & Channel

Responsibilities:

  • Bring your proven channel marketing acumen and expertise to the Small and Midsize Business Marketing team to successfully create and execute strategies and integrated marketing programs that reliably deliver the pipeline needed to achieve both market share and sales goals.

  • Maximize the output of the highest performing programs while continually adapting to market and competitive conditions by testing and replacing underperforming campaigns and programs.

  • Works effectively across a cross-functional and highly matrixed organizational structure to partner and collaborate with specialized marketing functions to develop a comprehensive Channel marketing plan and successfully execute key stages in the buyers journey.

  • Drive targeted marketing initiatives that achieve their forecasted results and can be relied upon by the sales & channel organizations to deliver quality pipeline that delivers high conversion rates and revenue goals.

Requirements:
  • Create and execute marketing programs optimized for Concur's channel. Includes creation of to and through channel web content, digital assets, and strategic marketing campaigns.

  • Creation and Execution of lead gen/pipeline plan for US SMN channel partners through the partner life cycle and funnel

  • Create and Execute on-boarding plans for new partners & acceleration plans for existing partners

  • Communicate to channel partners regarding programs, events, and product specific information

  • Promotion of partners within Concur and continuous efforts to ensure channel is a facet on a field level marketing promotions, campaigns and incentives for channel partner sales

  • Partner with Business Development to identify sales tools and training programs that will drive acceleration and scale

  • Be aware of, and comply with, all corporate policies.

  • Moderate travel required

  • Experience working with channel partners in a marketing capacity

  • Proven business thinker with solid strategic skills and capacity to understand the business from a market and P&L perspective.

  • Proven track record of driving lead generating activity, which resulted in increased revenue.

  • Ability to work cross functionally with peer group of senior and mid-level leadership in order to achieve goals.

  • Effective communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).

  • Effective at coordinating efforts across a diverse organization in the execution of key initiatives.

    Requirements:
    Education, Experience & Training Required
  • Minimum of 3 years in a marketing position with experience in business to business & channel marketing of cloud or high technology products or services.

  • Experience delivering solutions in a services model to SMB clients is desired

  • Solid CRM, Analytic and marketing automation background (Salesforce.com, Eloqua or Marketo, lead scoring, predictive analytics tools).

  • BS/BA in Marketing or equivalent experience; MBA is strongly preferred.

  • Ability to pass a background check.

Reporting to the Director of Global Channel Marketing, he/she will work closely with Business Development (BD), Field / Client, Product and Corporate marketing teams. Strategy - Developing scalable, integrated go-to-market (GTM) strategies for assigned channels, establishing channel marketing objectives, determining marketing mix and tactics, analyzing sales pipeline trend data, including growth KPI's of number of Active partners, Partner Referrals and partner sourced pipeline, and closed/won revenue. Channel Program and Campaign Development - Designing and implementing strategic and tactical channel marketing plans across the Partner Lifecycle (Recruitment, Onboarding, To Partner, and Through/with Partner, and Retention). Co-marketing with Strategic / high-value Partner Marketing Teams - Engages and collaborates directly with marketing stakeholders at strategic alliance partners to identify and drive co-branded GTM programs. Brand alignment, content curation and activation - Partner with corporate marketing, product marketing and other content creators to identify, curate and customize (where appropriate) high-performing assets and programs, including: Product and partnership messaging and positioning frameworks Audience segmentation and targeting strategy Top of Funnel thought leadership and awareness content Event content, promotional plans and follow-up strategy for field, industry tradeshow, and virtual events Partner training, selling reference tools and programs Product launches and market entry campaigns Curation of inbound marketing assets and messaging for syndication to partner websites, newsletters and social media channels Field Alignment and Readiness - Partner with Business Development to ensure that our teams are aware, prepared and are accountable for follow-up actions and pipeline opportunities generated from the GTM programs.
