The Retail and Payments Activation team is focused on making it easier for Google Play users to pay on Play, specifically within the prepayment Form of Payment (Gift Cards and the promotions we run with developers/users).
In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering insights and solutions that drive category growth strategy and sell-in. You'll be responsible for product positioning, messaging, assets, product design, global promos, CRM. Our team is also responsible for content promotions with game developers to drive gift card sales and increase users for game developers. You'll represent the voice of the consumer for the global gift card business. You'll work on key programs allowing the sales team to maximize the effectiveness of their retail footprint by using consumer research, data, and insights to inform growing retail channel, marketing, and consumer journey strategies. A data-based approach is critical for success. You'll manage global projects through the complete life-cycle including scoping, planning, executing, implementing and measuring impact. You'll also work closely with internal teams and external partners.

MBA or equivalent experience.
Experience in developing frameworks and distilling insights and data into actionable strategies.
Experience driving initiatives across cross-functional teams using influence and data.
Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, influence, and project management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Partner with sales leads to understand insights needs from macro market trends to customer-level insights. Build a sales narrative system based on data/case studies to allow the sales team to maximize their partner interactions.
Develop and execute the roadmap for shopper and market research, ensuring project-related insights and longer-term foundational projects are prioritized. Package shopper insights into actionable formats, and work cross-functionally to ensure the insights are well understood, correctly interpreted, and optimally applied.
Advocate for trust and safety for our gift card business by ensuring stakeholders are aligned and informed on initiatives.
Create and execute scalable customer-engagement strategies based on available data.
Identify opportunities to improve the consumer journey starting with marketing messaging outside of retail channels to the retail channel experience to Play redemption process of the gift card and promotions.
