General Purpose:

The Channel Manager I generates and manages sales by recruiting and managing agent relationships. Helps position TPx Communications with the agent community as a top performing Managed Services Provider specializing in Managed IT, Managed Security, Managed WAN and Unified Communications services. Plays an essential role in bringing peace of mind to TPx Customers by articulating the value that TPx brings through our managed services. Ensures that TPx is the easiest MSP to do business with by fully understanding how TPx operates and setting clear expectations of what TPx provides. Meets or exceeds monthly quota by assessing customer's needs; engaging with internal resources to articulate the value of TPx as a business continuity partner; and winning/securing sales based on one or more product service categories.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of TPx's product service categories to confidently and effectively assess customers' needs, aligning those needs to services that TPx delivers.

  • Educates customers on the value of TPx as a business continuity partner by articulating the value of the services we provide.

  • Develops and implements an effective sales strategy, including a documented strategic account plan that encompasses organizational alignment, a strategy to solve customers' business needs, and a tactical plan to deliver results.

  • Trains TPx Agents on products, order process, support procedures, portals, commissions, and pricing to secure new revenue with business customers.

  • Owns initial and ongoing sales training and strategic planning.

  • Recruits new agents to sign agent agreements with TPx or work underneath existing agents and their agreements.

  • Assists agents with creating, presenting, and closing opportunities with potential customers.

  • Provides ongoing agent channel management by forecasting, tracking productivity, making program modifications when necessary.

  • Secures monthly sales promotions and launches new products services.

  • Provides accurate weekly and monthly forecasting and sales funnels to management.

  • Provides ongoing communication of product, process, or policy changes to assigned agents.

  • Provides competitive feedback to sales management and marketing on a consistent basis.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with Sales Operations to resolve customer and Channel Partner related issues.

  • Troubleshoots and communicates issues to various internal departments for resolution.

  • Attends meetings as requested to assist in the development of our products and channel direction.

  • At least 50% travel including the use of a personal vehicle, domestic air travel, and overnight stays.

Required Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Demonstrated recent experience in MSP sales/account management with track record of closing net-new customers/logos and the ability to work through a dynamic network.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quota.

  • Minimum 5 years' sales experience working within the telecommunications industry.

  • Minimum 3 years' sales experience working within the Agent Channel either for a carrier or Telecom Agency.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work in ambiguous environments that may require knowledge of policy, political landscape, and technology with the ability to manage resources and make decisions.

  • Ability to work in a high pressure, high-stress sales, and quota driven environment.

  • Ability to work with all departments to promote sales, assist in provisioning or resolving customer issues.

  • Ability to analyze order and forecast data.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Strong written/verbal communications skills.

  • Excellent presentation skills.

  • Advanced computer skills.

  • Must possess valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR).

Other Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university preferred.
