GuidePoint Security's vSOC Managed Security Service business unit is seeking a high-energy, experienced Sales Channel Account Manager. This individual will play a key role in driving our continued growth nationally. The Sales Channel Account Manager will report to the VP Sales and will be responsible for working closely with GuidePoint Security's national sales organization to drive the sale of our MSS Services to CISOs at large enterprise customers.

The Channel Account Manager will work closely with our vSOC sales and executive team as well as with our national GuidePoint sales team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial startup environment. You will be passionate about selling and helping advance innovative solutions and technologies to CEOs, CISOs, CIOs, CTOs and other security team members. We are open to candidates nationwide who are willing to travel weekly to visit existing and prospective customers.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales bookings of monthly recurring revenues through the successful positioning and sale of Managed Security Services on an annual subscription basis

  • Work effectively with GuidePoint Security sales teams across regional offices

  • With the support of our industry leading GuidePoint sales representatives, Solutions Architects, and Principal Consultants you will leverage a consultative sales approach to position vSOC's Managed Security Service offerings to customer's needs

  • Execute in conjunction with the business plan and make quick adjustments both tactically and strategically

  • Manage and control the sales process at every stage through contract signing

  • Attain quarterly results for sales bookings, revenue and gross margin

  • Learn new and emerging technologies and remain current with information security news, techniques, and trends

  • Leverage exceptional communications skills to lead business and technical presentations, demonstrations and conversations with C-level audiences across major accounts and partners

  • Effectively manage multiple opportunities in a methodical and disciplined manner

  • Willingness to travel extensively (often with short notice)

  • Attend industry trade shows and security related conferences in support of activities

  • Set and manage expectations with senior stakeholders and team members

  • Play an active role in driving growth in a winning, team oriented, hyper responsive culture

  • Build relationships with internal sales teams across our regional offices

  • Provide weekly reporting of sales performance and pipeline

  • Research and position GuidePoint's vSOC MSS solutions versus competitors

  • Provide input into overall company strategy and product roadmap

  • Work closely with Marketing to design and implement promotions, campaigns and awareness

  • Other duties as assigned by CEO or CTO

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or Masters degree or equivalent experience

  • 7+ years sales experience in technology software or information security

  • Strong at selling value versus price with proven experience in selling complex solutions and large deals to senior executives

  • Highly motivated and adept exceeding sales bookings targets versus plan and changing behavior as required

  • Excellent communications skills and ability to interact with partners, executives, and customers on a daily basis

  • Fundamental understanding of software, computer, and network architectures

Preferred Experience

  • Operational and technical experience with Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Enterprise Security

  • Threat intelligence, EDR, VM, Intrusion Detection and Incident Response

  • NIST Cybersecurity Framework

This role can be based out Stamford, CT, New York, NY or Baltimore, MD. The Channel Marketing team, part of the Global Marketing and Communications department, and supports the distribution function. The Channel Marketing team is responsible for the development and execution of marketing strategy and related deliverables/communications designed to drive flows and retain assets for the Legg Mason product platform. The Channel Marketing team is also responsible for overseeing the end-to-end client experience and working with all related functions to achieve a seamless journey for LM's client types. Key Responsibilities: * Develop, manage, evaluate and review marketing strategy (including content) in line with brand, sales and overall business objectives. * Develop, manage and integrate all areas of the marketing mix for all distribution channels and implement key metrics to evaluate effectiveness and ROI, in conjunction with other internal/external stakeholders including: * Marketing literature: Working closely with the Content, Product Marketing, Sales and Product Specialist teams to create optimum brand/product positioning and messaging * Media Plans: Devise and implement plans, manage external relationships with media buyers and evaluate the related metrics. * Create and own a digital strategy, ensuring that content remains current and that it is fully integrated with the corporate message as well as with the regional sales activity. * Define and oversee the client experience for the region's client distribution channels in conjunction with all respective functions. * Building a strong partnership with the Sales team to establish joint priorities and gain alignment on strategic plans. * Supporting the Head of Channel Marketing on initiatives, as required. * Regional budget allocation, management, recording and reporting. * Assessing and challenging the marketing strategy through analytics. * Cooperate with the regional Sales team at events and conferences, as required. * Working closely with key stakeholders (e.g. Global Marketing, ales, Product Specialist group, Product, Compliance, Finance). * Partnering with the Compliance department to develop and maintain the knowledge of regional regulations related to financial services * Provide insight into the marketing developments both internally and externally to maximize efficiencies. Qualifications: Technical Skills * Proven ability to create marketing strategies and understand their role in supporting overall business goals. * Good knowledge of the Client Experience and its role within a client-focused organization. * Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills at all organizational levels * Excellent understanding of marketing production process (including Compliance) and knowledge of e-commerce. * Excellent knowledge of the asset management industry and mutual funds. * Technical understanding of investments and different asset classes to enable succinct articulation of the benefits of any given fund. * Strong understanding of the main distribution channels and clients * Deep understanding of distribution channels and client segmentation. * Excellent writing, grammar and communication skills. * Strong relationships with conference organizers, agencies and platforms and with marketing managers from peer organizations. * Analytical skills * Strong project management skills. * 7+ years' marketing experience within financial services.
