About Elevate

The Elevate initiative is a strategic effort within the Church to transform business and technology for the finance, accounting, budgeting, procurement, and project management functions of the global Church. It is approved by the First Presidency; governed by the Presiding Bishopric, and Managing Directors from across Church departments; and operated day-to-day by leaders from FRD, ICS, MMD, HR, and MFD. Elevate seeks to design and implement global, standard business processes, leveraging leading practices in the industry, all while supporting the unique needs of the Church. The Elevate initiative's North Star is to "Inspire human creativity to simplify our financial processes; learn & use innovative technologies and optimize the use of sacred funds to better serve more of God's children."

  • Proven experience of more than 10 years in leading and effecting organizational change. Large-scale organizational change effort experience is a plus.

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, organizational development, or related field.

  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral), and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.

  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud solutions or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.

  • Ability to navigate organizational hierarchies and use direct and indirect influence to obtain desired results.

  • Demonstrated ability to inspire teams and other stakeholders to embrace a growth mindset, to produce results, and support end-users.

  • Experience with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle.

  • Change management certification (e.g., Prosci ADKAR) is a plus.

The Change Management Lead has responsibilities over several key areas:

  • Overall Change Management Strategy

  • Communications & Engagement

  • Change Impacts (what is changing)

  • Activating the Change Network

  • Training

  • Change Management Team Members and Resources

  • Change Project Management and Tools.

In addition, the Church Change Management Lead acts as a conduit into the Church organization. The Church is a vast, global organization with many people in departments and Areas that possess diversity of knowledge, perspective, resources, and concerns that need to be sought out, listened to, understood, and where appropriate, organized for the benefit of the Elevate initiative and its impacted constituents. He or she identifies potential people readiness risks and anticipated points of resistance and develops specific plans to mitigate or address those concerns.

The Church Change Management Lead acts as a liaison between the Church organization and the Elevate initiative to help individual employees understand the changes taking place, creates excitement and enthusiasm for the changes, and oversees the programming, communications, training, and other campaigns/strategies to promote adoption of the new business processes, ways of working, and technology changes. Once live in the new system, the Lead also promotes higher proficiency of the processes and systems to achieve Elevate's North Star and the desired business results.

The Lead uses metrics and feedback to refine change strategies and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.

He or she works closely with the Accenture Change Management and Communications Leads to oversee the day-to-day efforts of the Elevate change management strategy and plans.

The Church Change Management Lead is an example of the Church's Leadership Pattern and the Elevate transformation leadership skills in guiding all change management efforts and teams.
