An exciting opportunity exists for a Chain Hooker to join our Atchison, Kansas Team. The Chain Hooker role is to support daily production needs.

SHIFT: 1st Shift

PAY: $22.93

Purpose Statement:

The Chain Hooker position reports to the Beforecast Manager and is responsible for the daily production needs of overhead crane operation.

Primary Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Properly rigging of required lifts according to production schedule

• Know and understand various hand signals in directing the crane operator

• Following and directing the crane by communicating via radio and hand signals

• Effective communication with crane operator and cleaning room employees

• Assist crane operator in rigging to various equipment throughout the department

• Daily inspection of all lifting chains and slings

• Alert lead of any maintenance needs

• Recommend process and job efficiency improvements

• Ensure work area is compliant with 5s standards

• Work autonomously within work systems established by the supervisor

• Actively participate in communication with department employees

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Experience:

• Prefer 1-2 years process driven work experience or similar experience

• Prefer 1-2 years foundry or manufacturing experience

Skills and Knowledge:

• Excellent hand eye coordination

• Self-motivated and able to work independently

• Ability to work with others
