Summary:

Directs the organization's financial planning and accounting functions as well as its relationship with the Board of Directors, funding community, lending institutions, and other stakeholders by performing the duties (listed below) either individually or through subordinate managers.

Knowledge of non-profit funding trends. Benchmarking service fees and recommending pricing strategies. Skill leading and supervising a highly proactive and cooperative finance team, training and recruiting as necessary. Experience with partnering, mergers, acquisitions and strategic joint venture financial analysis and strategies.

2.Partner with CEO to manage operational systems and organizational processes to ensure that the company can scale, handling funding challenges and continue to improve results.

3.Ensure timely, complete and accurate financial reporting to management, governmental agencies, funding sources.

4.Direct the controller and financial analysts in maintaining proper records, systems in order to provide adequate accounting controls and services.

5.Manage the cash-flow position of the organization, improving credit, collection and purchasing policies, and payment schedules where appropriate.

6.Participate in the execution of comprehensive due-diligence and management of partnering arrangements and with other complex financial deals, such as bond issues.

7.Lead, manage, train and recruit (as necessary) a high-caliber team.

8.Direct risk assessment and mitigation strategies for Agency and affiliates.

9.Strategic Leadership

1.Provide strategic and operational leadership and direction for the Finance and Accounting functions producing operational efficiencies as a means to optimizing profitability.

2.Cooperate in driving the creation of the company's strategic plans including market development, capital investments and operational performance.

3.Oversee the development of tools and process for, and direct the preparation of budgets, forecasts and financial models for the organization.

2.New Business Development and Marketing

1.On an ongoing basis assess and communicate to the management team and board future cash requirements for working capital and growth initiatives.

2.Oversee all financial systems to ensure effective operations, controls and organizational growth, providing leadership in continuous improvements.

3.Communication and Advocacy

1.Develop and maintain positive relationships within the organization and with the Board of Directors; attend meetings of the Agency's Board of Directors, Executive and Finance committees and other committees of the Board to inform and advise them on fiscal matters.

2.Function as the liaison with outside auditors on annual report and audits; taking responsibility for the content and accuracy of internal and external financial reporting.

Responsibilities * Ensures that monthly financial statements are completed timely and accurately * Ensures that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis and in compliance with company policies and standards and that any outstanding variances are identified and corrected timely. * Prepares corporate required reports (including the Monthly Operating Report, Monthly Certifications, Corporate Disclosures, Forecasts) timely and accurately. * Directs the operations of the Revenue Cycle to ensure that accounts receivable are collected timely and uncompensated care is kept to a minimum.
