We are currently seeking a part-time CFO with strong and deep experience to serve our client on a long-term project basis. Our client is a major player in the Retail / Online industry and they have experienced tremendous growth in recent years. They are seeking someone who can analyze and assess the current state of the finance and accounting department, including its structure, processes, reporting etc. and if need be, make recommendations for improvement and implement those improvements. The successful candidate should be able draw from their extensive experience and knowledge to assist our client in scaling their accounting and finance function to match the companys tremendous growth. Having an entrepreneurial spirit would be a great plus for this position.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
  • Minimum 8 - 12+ years of experience in public accounting - or private CFO / Controller experience in a relevant industry
  • Experience working with the accounting, finance, operations, and technology departments
  • Experience with operational process reviews and basic internal control requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to gather facts, organize data, analyze financial statements and other financial data to identify relevant issues and support findings
  • Expertise, knowledge and aptitude for developing and delivering accounting and technology services solutions
  • Expertise in analyzing and applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles ("GAAP") in developing creative solutions to address complex financial issues
  • Ability to provide effective communication to both management and team members
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships
  • Ability to break complex issues into project steps and problem solve
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulate, write and present information in a clear and understandable manner

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in business or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
  • Background in Brick & Mortar Retail and Online Retail a huge plus
  • Strong technology skill-set, including systems management or implementation experience
  • Motivated to work and contribute in a fast-paced, team-oriented, client focused environment
  • Natural aptitude for solving problems
  • Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Driven to exceed client expectations
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Presents themselves in a professional manor interacting with business owners
