POSITION TITLE: Certified/Registered Behavior Technician (CBT/RBT)

Working one on one with a student

Continuing position beginning in the 2024-2025 school year

POSITION: 6.5 hr/day, 5 day/wk, 180 day/yr

8:45 am

  • 3:45 pm (anticipated)

LOCATIONS: Presidents Elementary School

HOURLY RANGE: $29.93 - $35.82 per hour and dependent upon prior experience (hourly rate includes $1.63 - $3.48 vacation factor which is only paid on hours contracted to work and is based on the 2023/2024 salary schedule).

BENEFITS: Employees anticipated to work 630 hours in a school calendar year may be eligible for Medical, Dental,

Vision, Long-term Disability Insurance, Life Insurance, Pension, VEBA, and 403(b).

Up to 12 Sick Days, 2 Personal Days, and 13 Paid Holidays - prorated based upon start date & days worked

REPORTS TO: Director of Special Programs

SUMMARY: Under the direction of a behavior specialist or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), perform skilled, confidential support and assistance to the classroom teacher and IEP team as required with students who demonstrate challenging behaviors.

Conditions of Employment

  • Are you a citizen or do you have a visa which permits you to work in the United States?
  • Minimum qualifications for this position is aa AA degree or higher, or two years of college (72 quarter credits), and/or Para Pro Assessment developed by the Educational Testing Service (ETS). Do you meet this requirement?
  • Do you have a current First Aid/CPR card?
  • Are you trained in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or equivalent de-escalation training, OR are you willing to complete this training as directed?
  • Are you willing to be fingerprinted?
  • Do you have a valid Washington State Driver License?
  • Are you able to regularly lift 50 pounds and/or push/pull up to 80 pounds?
