Certified Veterinary Technician

VCA Franklin Park Animal Hospital is expanding its Patient Care Team and is seeking a Part-Time Veterinary Technician!

Who We Are:

We are proudly an AAHA-accredited hospital providing Preventative/Routine medical care. In addition to our general Veterinary services, we offer advanced services such as orthopedic surgeries and advanced soft tissue surgeries.

Schedule: Part-time opportunities, 2 x 8-10 hour shifts, roughly 20 hours a week.

Key Responsibilities:

Our veterinary technician team provides crucial support to our veterinarians in delivering high-quality patient care.

• Assist veterinarians in examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.

• Administer medications, vaccinations, and other prescribed treatments.

• Monitor and record patient vital signs during procedures and recovery (anesthesia).

• Perform dentals

• Venipuncture and IVC placement

• Perform and assist with diagnostic imaging, laboratory tests, and other diagnostic procedures.

• Communicate with pet owners regarding treatment plans, medications, and post-care instructions.

• Provide exceptional customer service and address client concerns with professionalism and empathy.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in treatment and surgery areas.

• Collaborate with veterinarians, fellow veterinary technicians, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care.
