In addition to fulfilling the job responsibilities of an Environmental Care Associate or Senior Environmental Associate, the Certified EVS Trainer orients and trains new employees in departmental daily job functions and activities. Educates new and existing employees in any procedural or required remedial development. Displays exemplary mentoring criteria and consistently exhibits outstanding performance standards and acts as a mentor to others. They will role model the expected outcomes of the "I Am The Patient Experience". Provide a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. They will be an available resource in the absence of a manager.
Conducts ongoing training for both new and existing employees to ensure that the environmental care procedures are adhered to.
Through written tests and visual observation will validate the staff member has a clear understanding of the responsibilities of Environmental Care Associate and Senior Environmental Care Associates.
Coaches new and existing employees in areas that require further development.
Evaluates the performance of trainees and determines what further training/education is needed to improve their quality of work.
Evaluates the effectiveness of current training programs and procedures and makes recommendations to improve them.
Holds new and existing employees accountable to policies and procedures established for each department.
Possess the ability to make independent decisions, be flexible and have the ability to work as a team member
Be able to perform the work of an Environmental Care Associate (cross reference Environmental Care Associate job description 4016).
Ensures that all decisions are made in an ethical manner.
Maintains adherence to Main Line Health's standards and policies.

Position requires that the individual has a mastery of skills and procedures in each of the areas described above. The individual must have the ability to effectively communicate and instruct particular skills and procedures to new and existing employees. Must be able to lead other employees by example.
Must have open availability and the ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Days off vary according to shift and schedule.
