Certified Surgical Technologist - Vascular Surgery

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) $10,000 Sign On Bonus!* Open Heart Surgical Technologists should meet the following minimum qualifications: Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technology program or comparable previous experience.

Completion of Certification Examination, with one year of employment preferred,#and maintains certification by participating in continuing education activities. Well-developed hand and eye coordination in imparting instrumentation to the surgeon and surgical field. Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral.

JOB REQUIREMENTS Education: High school diploma or equivalent.# Completion of accredited surgical technologist program.

Licensure:

Surgical Technologist Certification through the Association of Surgical Technologists Certifications: BLS required.

Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure.# Has a keen sense of hearing and keen visual acuity to respond to critical changing patient situations from actual observations and/or equipment alarms.# May be subject to inside environmental conditions, hazards (including electrical currents and exposure to high heat and chemicals) and infectious diseases.

May have to function around prisoners or mental patients. Work Environment: Hospital Setting
