Responsibilities
Dallas Regional Medical Center is looking for a full time, day shift Certified Operating Room/Surgical Tech who is empathetic and has good communication skills. Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1.Graduate of an accredited educational program for surgical technologists with a Certified Surgical Tech (CST) Certification upon hire required and maintained for employment a. Non-certified Techs in surgical technology position in a health care facility before September 1, 2009, will have one year from date of hire to obtain a Certified Surgical Tech (CST) Certification.b. Non-certified Techs who have received documented training as a surgical technologist in the U.S. Armed Forces, will have one year from date of hire to obtain a Certified Surgical Tech (CST) Certification.2. Experience and Mastery, in scrubbing minor and major procedures in the generalized surgical specialties, (General, Urology, Eye (cataracts), Gynecology, and Hand Specialty, in addition to, demonstrates proficiency and skill in basic spine procedures (Laminectomies), Sports Medicine, Orthopedic Total Joints, Complicated spinal fusion surgery (including 360), and Complicated Orthopedics: Sports Medicine and Total Joints, and Joint Revisions.3. Experience in scrubbing in the specialty surgical areas.4. Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
