This 400,000 -square foot, multi-specialty ambulatory center encompasses a Comprehensive Cancer and Women's Health Center, 12 ambulatory surgery operating rooms and Multispecialty physician practices.

Join our high-profile team and build on our reputation for excellence as you provide crucial support to Physicians throughout a wide range of surgical procedures in the Ambulatory Surgery suite. In this role, you will anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide assistance intra-operatively reflecting knowledge of assigned cases. You will prepare the operating room with proper instrumentation, sutures, supplies and equipment for each procedure depending upon age and size of the patient. You will take teamwork approach to provide efficient, safe and effective patient care. Experience minimally invasive procedures including Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, and Cystoscopy. This is a full time day shift (7:00AM - 5:30PM) position, located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital's Center for Community Health.

Preferred Criteria

• Minimum of one year experience in an Operating Room setting with clinical experience in general surgery, GYN, orthopedics, vascular and ENT services

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the Surgical Technician by the National Board of Surgical Technician and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)

• Knowledge of surgical supplies, instruments, machines and equipment used in and related to the Operating Room

• Computer Literacy
