• Operating Room is seeking a Full time, Mid shift Certified Surgical Technologist!

Up to $15,000 sign on bonus for qualified candidates!

~Full Time and Mid shift~

11:00am-7:00pm

Minimum Requirements:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Licensed Surgical Technologist

• Virginia

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Trade School Graduate

• Surgical Technologist OR training from military or vocational school

Department Information: Performing an average of 7,000 cases each year, the Operating Room at SMJH has 8 OR suites and offers a variety of service lines including; Complex GYN, Neurosurgery, Vascular/Thoracic and Orthopedic surgery. It is also the 2nd highest-performing OR in the Sentara system for Orthopedic total joint procedures.

Job Summary

Implements plan of care for specific patient population. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to facilitate integrated and comprehensive care in the peri-operative environment.

May substitute training in operating room procedures from military or vocational training program.

Virginia Surgical Techs are required to be Licensed with the VBOM.

Qualifications:

TS - Trade School Graduate: Surgical Technologist (Required)

Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification

• American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - Certifications

• National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), Licensed Surgical Technologist

• State license

• North Carolina, Licensed Surgical Technologist

• State license

• Other/National, Ventricular Assist Device Certification (VAD-C) - Certification

• ICCAC
