Certified Surgical Tech

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Surgical Tech (CST) to join our team. As a CST at NCG Associates, you will play a critical role in assisting surgeons during surgical procedures and ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available
• Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures
• Handle and pass surgical instruments and supplies to the surgeon
• Monitor and maintain a sterile field during surgery
• Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
• Safely dispose of contaminated sharps and other potentially infectious materials
• Clean and restock operating rooms after surgeries
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and efficient patient care
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines

Requirements

• Valid and unrestricted Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
• Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Tech
• Strong knowledge of surgical technology principles and practices
• Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Benefits

Location: Kansas City, KS 

 Pay rate: $50.00@40hrs Weekly

Class/Area: Surgical Tech 

Desired Start Date: ASAP 

Length of Assignment: 14 weeks 

Hours per Week: 40 

Shift and Time: M, T, Th, F 1030-2100 

Schedule Details: 10 hr eves 

Weekend Rotation: None 

On-call Requirements: Possible call required in rotation with other techs.

Holidays Requirements: Holidays not required: If the event of a holiday falls on a scheduled workday, subsequent pay periods will be reduced by holiday pay hours. 

Floating Requirements: Will float to all ORs 

Experience Required:Strong ENT, Neuro and Surgical Oncology (general surgery) experience required, Level I exp required 

Certificates Required: NBSTSA or three years surg tech exp and BLS required
